Liam - 1 Year

Celebrating birthdays has always been exciting for me.  I love the fact that we all get together and put someone at the center of attention and enjoy the fact that on this day, however so long ago, this person was born! A 1 year old birthday is always celebrated with milestones.  When did they crawl or walk for the first time?  What was their first word?  What do they like getting into?  These were all captured when I got the change to take pictures of Liam and his family in the home of his grandparents.

I have know Becky since 5th grade in school. We were close all through the rest of our high school years as we were in most of the same groups including soccer, band, and show choir. I also recall some of the best memories with her which usually included Mountain Dew, teepeeing someone's house, or dressing up in costumes.

Now that she is married and has a son of her own makes me very happy.  I met her husband Mike awhile ago and have always called him "Captain Mike" from a weekend at the lake where he was an expert at boating (even though he is in the military).  Becky and Mike are great parents to Liam.  I could tell that when Liam would get upset and right away they would be able to cheer him up using some sort of technique that was common for Liam.  We explored the house and ate cake to celebrate him turning 1.
